“Gripping Beast” Pendant

Authentic museum reproduction handcrafted in Denmark by Museums Kopi Smykker

SKU: MKS479 Category:

Viking Age (800-1050 AD).

Found in 1988 at Åsum Enggård, just east of Odense, in Denmark. The motif is a “Gribedyr”, or “Gripping Beast”, a four-footed mythical animal of the Viking Age. It appears in many different forms throughout Viking Art, sometimes entangeled in combat with snakes, sometimes alone with curled lips and backneck curls, but always curiously engaging.

An ideal gift idea for both Him and for Her.

Width: 28mm.

Individually numbered and hallmarked. A booklet detailing the age and the place of origin of the original is included.

Item shown may differ in colour depending on the metal you selected.
